Product Information
Material research plays a primary role in the creations of Dutch artist and German resident Hella Jongerius, whose works are held at MoMA, Cooper Hewitt, and the Art Institute of Chicago, among others. Her Argali Rug (2015) is handwoven by Nepalese weavers from argali wool, a Tibetan variety spun from wild Himalayan sheep. These eye-catching floor covering has rich textural and chromatic variation, with an embellished block of color in one corner and silk-wrapped fringe on both ends. Made in Nepal.
