Designed in 1965 by Michael Lax, this desk lamp is part of the permanent collection of New York’s Museum of Modern Art. Industrial designer Michael Lax makes the most of archetypal geometries in this perfectly balanced design. This high-intensity mini-lamp emits a localized light perfect for reading. The telescoping neck allows the height to adjust from 6 1/2″ to 15″. The lamp head swivels 360 degrees. The light intensity can be adjusted to two different levels with a switch conveniently located on the base. The cube base is weighted for stability and allows for wall mounting. Persimmon, gunmetal, and chrome finish. Hi/low switch on base. Can be wall mounted. Takes one 25 watt high intensity bulb (includes two). 2 1/2″ wide base. Extends up to 15″ high.
