The Luke Irwin Collection for Anthropologie is the first American collaboration from one of the world’s foremost rug designers. As a student of master weavers in Kathmandu, the Dublin-born visionary is deeply influenced by Nepal’s traditional weaving techniques, which he uses to depict the natural world and visions from his dreams. His patterns seem to exist in a space of complete originality, yet are somehow familiar in their timeless appeal. Here, Irwin combines his trademark hand-knotted construction with a Swedish-inspired geometric motif.
