Long Live Cloth is an 18-page zine created to get you excited about extending the life of your clothes and building more personally meaningful and sustainable wardrobes.
Fashion is deeply personal. How we wear what we wear and what we do with it when we’re not wearing it is pretty personal, too. This manual weaves in and out of the personal to give you the information you need to care for your clothes, such as:
- questions to help you discover the purpose that fashion serves in your life
- how fibers are grown, how they impact the environment, and how they react to regular wear and laundering
- 5 laundry dos and don’ts to extend the life of clothing and simultaneously spare the environment
- understanding the larger picture of fashion production and where you fit in to a products lifecycle
- Long Live Cloth comes with cotton, flax, wool and silk fiber samples. It is printed on recycled paper a block away from our Oakland studio.
