Description from Kathryn Davey
Hand Dyed with Madder Root, these cutlery pockets will hold your knives, forks spoons or sporks.
These beauties have been dyed by hand using colour extracted from Rubia tinctorum, commonly know as madder or dyer’s madder, a herbaceous perennial plant species which yields beautiful shades from red, to orange and every shade of pink/coral/salon in between.
The process of hand dyeing is slow & can’t be rushed. Our textiles have to be prepared for dyeing by a process known as scouring & then dipped over many hours to achieve the shades you see. Once we achieve the desired depth of shade, we wash all our pieces in a Eco-friendly detergent before carefully labeling & packaging in recycled paper products.
- Machine wash cold with like colours using a eco-friendly detergent
