The characteristic rust red house numbers and name plates have their origin in the small fisherman's village Skagen, located at the Northern tip of Denmark. A visit to Skagen in the mid 1990s gave birth to the idea. Quickly the signs gained popularity – first among the locals in Skagen where the signs blends perfectly into the environment. After a few years, we decided to stock the popular house numbers. Thus the Lighthouse series has been a part of RAMSIGN's range since the late 1990s.
The classic Lighthouse signs brings associations to Skagen painters, charming fishermen's cottages, dog roses, lyme grass and sand dunes as far as the eye can see. The name “Lighthouse” is inspired by the maritime environment in Skagen, which has the lighthouse as it's landmark.
