Description from The Century House
Voted “the 20th Century's Best Swedish Furniture Design” at the turn of the Millennium. Easy chair and optional stool.
This beautiful chair designed by Yngve Ekstrom has been a Scandinavian Modern design classic for decades. Ekstrom's talent for carpentry, all-round practice and studies in drawing, painting, sculpture and history of art gave him a unique feeling for material and construction. In 1945 Yngve Ekstrom and his brother Jerker founded the furniture line Swedese, and shortly after, the Lamino Chair became an iconic part of that line. Ekstrom's pieces have been exhibited in Amsterdam, Vienna, Berlin, Paris, Munich and Belgrade and are represented in many modern permanent collections, including the Victoria & Albert Museum, London and Nationalmuseum in Stockholm.
