Marco Zanuso’s Lady is a chair that could almost be the symbol of an age, as it marks the advent of modernity in the world of upholstered furniture in early Fifties. In its manufacturing technique and in it’s styling, Lady is an emblematic expression of the renewal that traditional furnishings were undergoing at that time. Lady won the Gold medal at the IX Triennale in 1951 and came to symbolize the new tastes, which were emerging.
Metal structure covered with moulded polyurethane foam. Solid wooden armrests covered with stress-resistant, differentiated density polyurethane foam and fibre cover. Springing by means of reinforced elastic straps. Metal legs, aluminium colour painted. Unremovable covers.
