After years of searching, we found it–the elusive refined gravy boat. No sauciére-style swoops or fussy spouts here, just a clean-lined vessel of pure white porcelain, made by hand. Trude Petri (1906-98) is to thank for this elegantly simple form, expressed in inimitable clarity throughout the Urania dinner service she designed in 1938 for Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur (KPM) Berlin.
