Japanese Double-Sided Summer Towel

Double-sided towel in Red for bath and outdoor use at the pool or beach. Woven from extra-fine thread for absorbency, softness and strength. Cotton/linen/ramie with check pattern on one side, cotton terry on reverse. Also comes in Navy.

A double-sided design, with soft cotton terry on one side and cotton/linen blend on the other, makes these towels extra versatile and absorbant. The retro check pattern is reminiscent of early 19th-century tablecloths of American pioneers and homesteaders.

To produce these towels, delicate threads are slowly woven on old-fashioned, low-speed looms in a factory in Japan. The towels are then finished with a thorough laundering using the wellsprings of underground water from the melted snows of Mount Ishizuchi, the tallest mountain in Western Japan.
