A simple hinoki wood soap dish with a removable slatted base. Hinoki wood is especially prized in Japan for its delicate therapeutic scent and anti-bacterial properties. Traditionally used in bathrooms, hinoki wood is rot-resistant, and is even often used to make large soaking tubs. We use ours in the kitchen to hold a cube of savon de marseilles to wash dishes and hands. Minimal but lovely kitchen or bath accessory.
