Growlers originated in UK pubs, as a vessel, pail or jug for toting home ale. The yank version, designed and manufactured in Portland, OR is ceramic, each growler slip cast by hand, the necks carefully trimmed on a potters’ wheel for the tightest lid fit. They’re cast thick to hold in the cold for all of your 32 ounces. The wide mouth ceramic flip-top lid is kitted out with a rubber gasket effectively sealing in carbonation and keeping your liquids, whatever they may be, cold and crisp for days. Keep one in the fridge and certainly tote one on a ale driven row. Form and function, both superb.
