Hand Woven Hoop Chair is a unique and striking Mitsein design. This beautiful natural chair is made from 100% sustainable rattan using clean processing techniques, handmade in Quang Nam province by village communities.
For the last five years, these villagers have been collaborating with WWF Vietnam to convert their old rattan harvesting techniques to all sustainable practices; keeping the forests in the highlands of Central Vietnam intact; and making the continuation of traditional village life more feasible in the long term.
The sale of this chair supports the village communities of Quang Nam, by providing fair employment and creating demand for their sustainably harvested and processed rattan.
