Anthropomorphized animals dressed up in finery are depicted in the iconic ‘Hackney Empire’ print. A hookah-smoking sloth, a frog in a bowler hat, a fanning otter and an imbibing badger are just some of the characterful critters depicted. Originally oil-painted onto wood to create a hand-painted finish, ‘Hackney Empire’ combines a rich palette of midnight blue with highlights of jewel tones, from ochre to grenadine, for a decadent and mesmerising effect. Our wallpaper is made using PVC-free, eco-friendly materials and promises minimal environmental impact at every stage of production.
