Description from The Line
Swedish-born architect and designer Greta Magnusson Grossman (1906-1999) designed this floor lamp in the mid-1940s, and its jaunty form has since achieved iconic status. Recalling the crimped and angled legs of its insect namesake, the Gräshoppa’s tubular steel tripod stand is tilted backward, and the elongated aluminium conical shade is ball-jointed onto the arm, allowing for a directional light with minimal glare. Both stand and shade are powder-coated. This authentic Grossman lamp was manufactured by Gubi to the designer’s original specifications.
