An award-winning sculptor and designer known for his proficiency with natural materials such as marble and wood, Giulio Lazzotti has created a pristinely elegant bench based on subtle sculptural nuance and expert craftsmanship. Demonstrating the natural versatility of molded plywood, the Giulio Bench (2001) is a blend of clean planes and sensual curves. When two or more benches are placed end to end, the gently arced legs take on solid, elliptical forms while the exterior lines remain taut and crisp. Recipient of an award in 2002 by the Japan Industrial Design Organization, it is a graceful and unobtrusive design that is equally at home in museums, galleries and residential dining rooms. Made in Italy.
