Description from The New Craftsmen
The Ganymede Table Lamp (Medium) is a round stoneware form by ceramicist Adam Ross. Each lamp is a sculptural statement piece perfect for enhancing the exceptional interior.
Adam hand builds each lamp base using the coiling technique. The piece then undergoes a lengthy process of surface layering, whereby thin slips and oxides are applied over a prolonged period. The final layer of white slip sits atop the metal oxides, resulting in a blistered finish. These accretions are then sanded back to reveal the colour underneath. Inspired by a study of Jupiter’s largest moon, Ganymede, this table lamp comes to life when illuminated.
Shades sold separately, available with either a black cotton or linen shade.
