Description from Design Within Reach
Using just glass and chrome to create its slender profile, the Enne Luci Wall Sconce (2005) was designed by architects Michele Romani and Mauro Saccani for Vistosi. The Vistosi family’s glass-making heritage dates back to the 16th century, but was lost for generations. In 1945, the company was revived by Guglielmo Vistosi, whose connection to avant-garde artists took the family business in a new direction. They began commissioning pieces by top designers like Vico Magistretti, Angelo Mangiarotti and Ettore Sottsass, a legacy that endures today.
