Description from The Citizenry
Handcrafted in Northern Ireland byThe Mourne Textile Workshop
Hand-loomed using “wild” spun yarn from Donegal, this tweed pillow features a textured, dappled look that highlights its various shades of grey. Each pillow is a one-of-a-kind work of art, no two are exactly alike.
Made from pure merino wool, this textured weave was inspired by the original designs of Gerd Hay-Edie, the go-to weaver for leading fashion designers in the fifties. Today, her daughter and grandson carry on her legacy with this collection of mid-century textiles for the modern home.
This piece was handcrafted by a group of nine weavers who work in a studio in the Mourne Mountains. From start-to-finish, each one is made in a fair trade environment.
