A small simple and lightweight dustpan of galvanised steel fitted with a looped wire handle, all held together without use of welding, rivets, or fastenings. Pressed, trimmed, finished, and assembled largely by hand in a small metal workers shop in Osaka – a company who have specialised in the fabrication of simple zinc coated household goods for over a century. Used closer to the ground than the Tokyo pan, this is more suited to western style horizontally handled hand brooms. The mouth is approximately 27cm wide, the total length about 29.5cm.
