Description from The Line
Founded on the eve of Louis XIV’s reign, Cire Trudon endured toppled monarchies and the “electric revolution” through a dedication to wax of the finest quality. The company’s candles were recognized as luxury goods from the 17th century, when they stood out for their long, regular burn: a dripless and smokeless affair that lives on in these elegant Madeleine tapers. Named for the Parisian church they once illuminated, they are made with traditional methods in the Cire Trudon workshop in Normandy and dyed in small lots. Each candle in this box of six has a fine cotton wick and a milled base. Free of fragrance, they are ideal for the table.
