The Cord Chandelier is a tensegrity structure, with the steel arms in compression and the electrical wires in constant tension. The upper brass hub serves as the electrical junction box while the bottom hexagon brass hub accepts the radiating arms like an old tinker toy. Everything is kept in place by the compression weight of the fixture.
