Description from White Flower Farm
The endlessly colorful foliage of Coleus once figured prominently in Victorian bedding schemes and recently, have made a comeback as gardeners have rediscovered old varieties and breeders have introduced new ones.Coleus make glorious container subjects and though most tolerate full sun, they are more valuable in shade, where summer color is scarce. 'Garnet Robe'came to us unlabeled. Attempts to identify it did not bear fruit, so we coined our own name. The heart-shaped leaves are the color of a fine old Bordeaux edged in chartreuse. This outstanding Coleus brings out the best in almost any companion and looks superb on its own. One plant will engulf a 12in pot. Perennial in Zone 10.
