Original BTC, founded by Peter Bowles, strives “to design and produce lights that you are instantly at home with, that will fit easily and comfortably for many years to come.” Drawn to the translucency and versatility of bone china, Bowles had it in mind when designing his Coach Wall Light (2012). This light is beautifully crafted of hand-cast bone china, inspired by the coach lights found on Indian railways. Producing it involves a highly skilled, labor-intensive process that begins with raw clay and ends with biscuit firing, glazing, glossing and firing again. When lit, the china shade throws off a translucent glow for warm diffused lighting. Bulb (not included): 40W/GLS/E27. UL Listed. Made in England.
