His product is suitable for outdoor use. Please note, however, that extended exposure to sunlight may cause slight discolourations. Dirk is well-known for his “Endless Chair”, for which he developed a totally new way of “writing” chairs. Using a 3D design on his computer, he makes line drawings in layers. A robot follows these lines and then builds the chair, in three and a half hours, “in profile”. The robot is fed material from (old) fridges which have been ground up under great pressure. This allows the robot to produce the glowing hot strands that make up the chair. Dirk’s collection of products “written” by the robot has expanded considerably and now also includes the Chubby series. These products are made up from much thicker lines, which gives them their characteristic, playful form. lead time: approx. 8-10 weeks if not in stock.
