Description from Design Within Reach
A ubiquitous Icon
Three years after designing his iconic Wassily Chair, which is believed to be the first bent tubular steel chair design, Marcel Breuer created the Cesca Chair (1928). Named in tribute to his daughter Francesca, this minimal piece pairs the industrial aesthetic of tubular steel with wood and cane inserts. Cesca is manufactured by Knoll® according to the original and exacting specifications of the designer. Each is stamped with the KnollStudio logo and Breuer’s signature. Made in U.S.A.
