Description from Jewish Museum
Inspired by the work of 20th-century studio potters, Mexican folk pottery, and American stoneware bottles, artist Paula Greif hand-crafted and hand-painted each of these exceptional menorahs exclusively for the Jewish Museum Shop. Trained as a graphic designer, Greif – a former art director for magazines, rock videos, and Barneys – took a class in pottery with the goal of remaking everything in her kitchen. Today she creates ceramic pottery in her Hudson, New York studio from shapes and ideas that interest her. Not a fan of production pottery, Greif produces each series in limited quantity allowing her design approach and aesthetic to remain truly unique.
Due the handmade process for these menorahs, each varies slightly in size. They’re all fabulous, so please allow us to choose one for you.
