Description from British Standard
British Standard Cupboards are made from carefully selected materials. The façade and door frame are 25mm thick Poplar with a moisture resistant mdf central door panel. The door is hung on drawn brass butt hinges and fastened with a brass magnetic catch. The carcass is 15mm white melamine faced European Birch ply. Each cupboard has one fixed base shelf and one adjustable midway shelf, lipped with solid Beech. Shelf supports are turned Beech dowels.
Drawer fronts are 25mm thick Poplar, on a traditionally dovetailed solid Beech drawer box, with a Beech faced ply base. They are lacquered and run on soft-close metal runners. Cupboards are supplied with adjustable metal feet at the back and arrive with removable wooden ‘skids’ front and back for transportation. The front legs and plinth are 45mm longer than required, for scribing to the floor on site.
Open Shelves and Open Slatted Shelves have ‘Boarded’ ply interiors primed in white, slatted shelves are solid Beech with a lacquered finish. End Panels are moisture resistant mdf. Cupboards, Book Ends and End Panels come primed in white ready for painting.
