Description from Kaufmann Mercantile
Vessel with low-placement spout to separate gravy fat from juices, which can easily be poured out. Heat-resistant up to 450 °C (842 °F). Suitable for use in microwave, oven and dishwasher. Made in Germany.
Use this cup to quickly separate meat and poultry juices from fat when making your gravy. Fat, being lighter in weight than water, naturally rises to the top. The low-placed spout easily pours off the juices while confining the fat within the container.
The glass cup is machine blown in order to achieve exact measurements and sizes while the spouts are manually attached. They are made with borosilicate glass, a strong material used in laboratories and kitchens due to its resistance to thermal expansion and shock. Borosilicate glass is 17% lighter than aluminum – making your work easier when slowly pouring your the turkey drippings into your cooking roux.
The glass is heat resistant up to 450 °C (842 °F), so you can pour hot juices directly into the vessel without fear of it cracking.
