Description from Poketo
In earthy, natural tones, these Block Shop Scarves are a welcome neutral whether worn around the neck or draped on a wall.
The pairing of contemporary design and a classic craft is a match made in Block Shop heaven. Drawing from our mutual Los Angeles roots, Poketo created a design reinterpreting classic LA-inspired sunset motifs in a modern arrangement. Using this design, Block Shop’s 5th generation master printers outside Jaipur hand block printed these scarves utilizing a traditional Indian hand block printing process. With a raw edge on the ends, and the manual process ensures that each scarf is truly one of a kind.
- Due to the handmade process, mild variations in color may occur.
- Printed with natural & non-toxic dyes.
- 25% silk, 75% cotton.
- 34″ x 86″ (86.4 cm x 218.4 cm).
A collaboration between sisters Hopie and Lily Stockman and a family of printers and dyers in Rajasthan, LA-based Block Shop is a textile company that marries the traditional Indian hand block printing process with a modern California aesthetic. Deeply committed to the future of hand block printing, Block Shop also aims to make heirloom textiles that have high social benefit and low environmental cost, investing in programs that benefit the communities they work in.
