Designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1960, but only produced in very limited numbers until Carl Hansen & Son relaunched the chair in 1996 based on Wegner’s original 1:1 drawings. CH445 immediately received both design awards and international acclaim.
An exceptionally comfortable chair that provides excellent support for the back, shoulders, neck and head. Its generous lines enable a variety of sitting positions.
Built upon a solid beech frame, just as Wegner specified, and upholstered in high-quality foam that provides just the right balance between firmness and softness.
The sculptural Wing Chair – one of Wegner’s most iconic works – is now available with a black lacquered frame.
