Description from Design Within Reach
Referred to as “the design world’s A-team” by The Times of London: Scott Fellows, a Harvard MBA, is the fashion creative director who transformed the Swiss firm Bally. Craig Bassam is an architect whose career started with Bruce Eeles, a disciple of Marcel Breuer, before heading to Greece to study the classics. Together they are BassamFellows. Their desk and bath accessories (2008) are made from leftover pieces that come from making products like their Tractor Stool. Referred to as their “Soft Series,” this modular system is designed for supreme functionality. The gently turned edges define the collection (thus, the “soft” name) and make it easy to retrieve objects from the slightly scooped interiors. They are carved from solid walnut and finished with a wipe-on oil and sealer. Because of the natural variations of walnut, every accessory is unique. Made in U.S.A.
