A special honey, sourced for our dark honey enthusiasts delivered in a massive jar. Ebony in color, this rich, extremely slow and thick honey is harvested in a Southern California grove, where bees feed on the nectar of avocado blossoms, nearby sage, citrus, and eucalyptus. It is on the dark end of the (already dark) spectrum of avocado blossom honey with notes of black licorice, coffee, stout, and anise. It’s the honey you want drizzled on your oatmeal in the morning, swirled into your best yogurt, or punctuating goat cheese or ricotta.

We’ve aged this honey a few months to allow it to thicken into a beautiful, glossy, smooth tar. It will, over time, continue to set. The jar is very large and dense, which will likely provide months of enjoyment (perhaps longer), depending on the size of your household.
