Description from MoMA Design Store
Product Information
Elegant and flexible, this screen is constructed from fine solid pine wood strips that have been vertically aligned, so that it can be easily rolled up for storage or unfurled to create straight or fluid curves. Designed in 1936 by Alvar Aalto, Screen 100 can be used to divide rooms or section off areas. It’s substantial height (59”) will add structure to a space without obscuring vision. It can easily be moved around as needed, thanks to its lightweight construction and balanced proportions. Made in Finland, Screen 100 brings the warmth of wood to any space in which it’s placed. It measures 59h x 78.75”w and some assembly is required. Both Alvar Aalto and the screen’s manufacturer, Artek, are represented in MoMA’s collection.
