Created by the duo behind WEND Studio, a local design brand based here in Oakland, CA. The gorgeous Arc Rattan Rocker was made with sustainability, ethical production, and beauty in mind.
The Arc Rattan Rocker, with its linear weave and modern shape, was created with laid back, resort-style living in mind. Drawing from designs from the 1950’s, the hand-woven rockers are created with sustainable rattan harvested from Indonesia’s rattan capitals, the islands of Sulawesi and Kalimantan. The modern open pattern that follows the elegant ellipse shape elevates the design of this long beloved material. The natural texture of the rattan beautifully juxtaposes with its sleek and incredibly durable iron base which is versatile in its ability to both sit comfortably on its sleek front legs or rock on its back arched legs.
Each traditionally woven chair takes several days to weave, made start to finish by hand in small batches.
