A faboulous antique Fairbank Soap Crate!

The crate dates back to the early 1900s. It's patina is just beautiful! The box corners are joined with finger joints and has graphics on all four sides.
The two longer sides have the same lettering with “Fairbank's Fine Family Soap” written in typical script of the day. One short side has a crest, lion silhouette and “Trade Mark, The N.K.F. Company” …all set in the center of a sun. The other short side has a partial paper applied advertising.
Measures 15″ wide at the long sides, by 12″ wide on the short sides, by 11 1/2″ tall.
In two of the back corners the joining is a little loose just at the top.
More photos upon request.

A little history:
Nathaniel Kellogg Fairbank was involved in the lard-rendering business in Chicago by the 1880s and was producing soap under several brand names. The brand disappeared in the 1930s, when Fairbank's company was bought out. Your wooden box was a shipping box that held bars of soap shipped to retailers.

This is a wonderful piece of American history you should have!
