The glass series Glass Family, which was designed by the world famous designer Jasper Morrison for A di Alessi, is a combination of the special approach taken by the designer and the concept of A di Alessi:
Today’s products, which surround us, are a product of design in “small steps”. Over generations, designers around the world have changed little aspects of an object in terms of form and function, creating our current standard in the process. This is also the approach taken by Jasper Morrison. The result was products such as the “Knifeforkspoon” cutlery series or the glasses of the “Glass Family”, which enable easy access yet do not give up on their aspirations towards a high-quality design.
This design reflects the philosophy of A di Alessi – the creation of a democratic design. The “anti-glamorous” design by Jasper Morrison and consequent normality of his products both possess a sophisticated simplicity.
The glasses of the Glass Family follow this idea and at first sight seem less “formal” than other glasses, but on account of their sophisticated simplicity they lend a particular elegance to a table full of food.
The glasses are dishwasher-safe.
