Hee Welling set out to design a chair that can be endlessly re-imagined in fabric, leather and atop legs in birch, metal, on wheels or without. He continues that mission with the About A Stool counter and bar stool incarnations that are as perfect as the chairs. For Hee and his collaborative partner Hay Denmark, it’s all about “conspicuous simplicity” in terms of silhouette and function. To that, add well-priced, quality, durability and versatility.
