Danish designer Povl Eskildsen's latest Verden (Danish for "the world") collection of indoor-outdoor furniture earns a spot on our must-have list.
The furniture is designed for Gloster, whose "made for life" mantra Eskildsen stands behind, having grown up in the furniture business and drawing inspiration from Eames, Wegner, and Mackintosh. The collection includes a chair and two different sized tables, all with clean, tapering lines and a solid teak construction perfect for patio seating in the spring and indoor use in the winter.

Above: The Square Dining Table is constructed with long grooves on the underside, called relief kerfing, allowing the wood to naturally expand and contract; without them, a solid table top of this size would warp; $1,595 at Design Within Reach.
Above: The Dining Chair is $650 (its design is reminiscent of Wegner's oak Wishbone Chair, which costs $990) at Design Within Reach.
Above: The Rectangular Dining Table features high-quality finger-joint construction; $1,950 at Design Within Reach.
