Walls, Windows & Floors: Dash & Albert Rugs

Annie Selke, founder of Pine Cone Hill, also designs a line of rugs under the name of Dash & Albert. The company is based in the Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts and makes hand-loomed, flat-weave striped and plaid cotton rugs that have a Shaker simplicity about them. They are also reasonably priced, and the indoor/outdoor line works equally well in a kitchen, bath, hallway, or porch.

Above L: Tattersall Navy/Beige Cotten Woven Rug. Above R: Staffordshire Stripe Cotton Woven Rug. Both in hand-loomed flat weave 100-percent cotton; prices range from $28 for the 2-by-3-foot size and go up to $385 for the 9-by-12-foot size.
