Tabletop: Sue Binns Pottery in England

August 9, 2010

Spotted recently at Few & Far in London, summery ceramics from Sue Binns Pottery. Binns, a self-taught potter, creates her distinctive patterns by brushing dilute cobalt over dolomite glaze. "My inspiration comes from Mediterranean pottery, Japanese fabrics and ceramics, but mainly from 1950s Rye Pottery, which was around in my house when I was growing up," Binns says. For more information and a list of retailers, go to Sue Binns Pottery.
