In my former life as a floral designer, I often created arrangements using ornamental brassicas (cabbages), but I hadn’t considered seasonal garden vegetables until now.
Inspired by the vegetable table decor in Monday’s Steal This Look: Babel Restaurant in Cape Town, I created this potager centerpiece using a mix of ornamental cabbage and garlic blossoms purchased from my local florist. I then rounded out the arrangement with kale leaves, watermelon radishes, and heirloom artichokes gathered from Whole Foods.
