Bamboo that doesn’t look like bamboo: That’s what you’ll find from Ask og Eng, the Olso, Norway-based kitchen company that first started making fronts for Ikea cabinets and have since expanded to fully custom kitchens.
A few years back we featured the kitchen of Ask og Eng’s founders, couple Kine Ask Stenersen and Kristoffer Eng, who renovated their 1930s wooden house in Drammen, Norway, by removing walls, upgrading windows and doors, and exposing an original pine floor. With their bamboo kitchens, Stenersen and Eng source raw material from certified farms where bamboo, a fast-growing grass, is produced sustainably and responsibly. Here’s a look at the details of their kitchen, beyond just the cabinets, that make it such a covetous look.
