Architectural historian Nikolaus Pevsner called Temple Guiting Manor (privately owned since the 15th century) "one of the finest, if not the very best, of the small Cotswold Tudor houses." The house has been meticulously restored by British architect Ptolemy Dean, a renowned conservationist of historic buildings. And Sophie Conran (as in daughter of Terence) has partnered with the owners to provide "alternative bespoke get-togethers," modern-day versions of the classic house party, with a squad of experts on call. Smoking kippers, bridge lessons, and crocheting are just a few of the activities on offer.
