After the arrival of their beloved English setter, George, husband and wife team Michael and Nicola Sacher noticed a gap in the market and founded Mungo & Maud, a concept store for cats and dogs located on Elizabeth Street near Sloane Square. Nicola, the creative director, designs the Mungo & Maud private-label collection, which ranges from hand-stitched leather collars and leads to wooden feeding bowls, embroidered blankets, and cotton pet beds. The private-label collection can also be found online at Mungo & Maud and at selected retailers in Europe, North America, and Asia (Globus, Bergdorf Goodman, Lane Crawford, Le Bon Marche, and Breuninger).
