Since opening in 2008, the Drake Hotel General Store (there are now two additional outposts of the shop) in Toronto has "played with the notion of taking the traditional hotel gift shop and reimagining it in a contemporary and varied urban context." The owners take inspiration from the classic general store, the museum shop, and the flea-market stand; to see the offerings, go to the Drake Hotel General Store.
