From Sarah: Presided over by the Bamford family (of construction-equipment billions) and inspired by HRH the Prince of Wales' sustainable Duchy Originals enterprise, Daylesford Organic is an organic lifestyle enterprise of utmost refinement. The flagship store in the heart of London's Pimlico district is the height of eco chic, outfitted with a white marble interior and simple white wood benches. The main floor is given over to a café and a wide array of organic food and produce, beautifully presented, while upstairs is the housewares section, offering tasteful products for the bath and home. Particularly noteworthy is the specially commissioned Japanese paper-thin white pottery. The burgeoning empire includes a garden store and farmshop in Gloucestershire, in-store shops at Harvey Nichols and Selfridges, and a total of four shops in London.
