Return of the specialty shop? We’ve been spotting (and admiring) a new crop of interiors and concept stores in Brooklyn and beyond. Here are 11 favorites:

Above: Francesca and I stopped in at Dae recently, an under-the-radar cafe and home shop on Smith Street in Brooklyn; the wares are minimalist and the menu is quirky in a nice way (Korean Mugwort latte, for instance).

Above: Design Studio In Common With recently opened Quarters, a concept store, in a 19th-century NYC loft styled as a residence. “In addition to our own work, visitors will find a curated selection of vintage furniture and independent works from peers and fellow designers,” they say.
