Janna Hymes. Swedish Rustic Dining in Maine. Rockport, ME. “My mom and I painted the floors. We refinished chairs bought for $75 with grey checks and paint. We hung antique tools, a blue-and-white chandelier form Portugal, and added textile-covered cushions on an antique gray bench.”
Liza Macrae. Tiny Cottage Dining with Homemade Milk Paint. Tivoli, NY. “In this project we tried to work as much as possible with materials we already had or could find at the local ‘junk shop’ or craigslist. For the walls we made or own milk paint and clay paint.”
Brooke Stroud. Industrial Pendants and Tolix Chairs in a Dine/Lounge Space. Marfa, TX. “Wanted a clean bright space. Plenty of seating for lounging around and conversing. Double drafting table doubles as a sideboard/ work space. Antique Chinese bench is for sitting and placing extra plates and bowls. Bought the RCA Victor listening room chairs when in college, love them.”
