Loren Madsen. Clerestory Windows and a Forest View Complete a Small Cabin Bedroom. Laytonville, CA. “A detached addition to our small house. The bedroom is 12′ x 16′ and includes an interior copper sink, closet, tansu chest and bed.”

Rie Sterling. Cozy Cottage-Style with Board and Batten Walls. Apex, NC. “For this farmhouse bedroom, we installed board and batten for the walls. We kept the furnishings simple and spare.”

Janna Hymes. Vintage Saris as Coverlets in a Maine Boys’ Bedroom. Rockport, ME. “I bought these saris from a friend who recently returned from India, to cover antique wrought iron beds in my son’s room. I love checked sheets and topped them off with needlepoint pillows I made when I was a little girl.”
